Getting Real {San Diego Family Photographer}

One thing that I try very hard to accomplish to is capture a wide variety of emotions.  I feel like every family has their “picture perfect” side, but it is also so much fun to capture their perhaps “less than perfect?” or in my opinion, “perfectly imperfect” side.

I LOVE smiles…real genuine smiles that start with the eyes are the best!  But lets face it, not even the happiest of people walk around with a full blown “real smile” on their face.  It just isn’t natural for anyone.  Not even kids.  That’s why, I feel totally comfortable telling my clients (esp. the children) that it is ok NOT to smile.  The smiles usually come on their own, but once people are released from the burden of having to smile the entire time I am there, they can start to relax and be themselves.  For me, this is when the magic happens…

Can I ask you if something has changed? I mean, you have always been fabulous, consistent and beautiful, but lately your photography has been on fire! It’s so fresh, honest and real. Your editing is just BEAUTIFUL in color and bw. I find myself on the edge of my seat waiting to see what you will post next. THANK YOU!
